John Gilmore

John Gilmore is an author, editor, and a former journalist for Radio Canada International. Born and educated in Montreal, he studied jazz at university before spending seven years researching the city's legendary jazz and nightlife history. Montreal was once known as the Paris of North America, and Gilmore's book Une histoire du jazz à Montréal explains why the city was the capital of jazz in Canada for more than half a century.
