Pearce W. Hammond

From the Author: "I was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia USA and have always wanted to be a writer and author since high school. I enjoy writing on a variety of topics but my favorite subject is humor and my last two books have focused in this area. Writing is in my family blood. My uncle was famed Savannah, Georgia-born songwriter, Johnny Mercer, who wrote over 1,000 songs and won four Academy Awards for songs which included, Moon River, Days of Wine and Roses, In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the evening, and On the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe".

In addition to writing, Mr. Hammond is also an accomplished artist and has illustrated several of his books. His art has been featured in many local and regional publications. He and his wife, Anne, now reside at "Halftide", their home on the tidal waters of the Chechessee River in Okatie, South Carolina.
