Marion Tzui Yang

Born in Taiwan to the 14th generation of immigrants from Fujian, China, in 1969, Marion Tzui Yang considers herself a native of Taiwan. Then, in 1994, she immigrated to the United States and later became an American citizen. She's married to Sergio Viscoli and lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Marion is a highly creative individual who throughout the years has been an inventor in both visual arts and language arts.

As an animator, Marion Tzui created AniGraphy. It's a series of Flash animation of the ancient master Chinese calligraphy works. One of her work that caught the artist who created semi-cursive Chinese in between styles, Loss and Confusion, can be found online since 2009. Later, when she was training as an app developer, Marion applied the art of AniGraphy and created a chrome/android app, "Chinese Alphabet", for any beginners of the written language.

As a translator, Marion translated her father's rewrite of "I Ching", and then further translated an entire volume of ancient poetry oracle into an English work of "Poetry in Divination." She further developed a chrome/android app, "Taichi Card", for modern usage of the oracle. As a writer, Marion paid homage to the late Chinese poet and artist, Mu Xin, by translating some of his famous poems and published them as part of her English memoir, "This Jonquille: Poetry and Whatnot". Mu Xin was the foremost poet who rewrote "Classic of Poetry" to a volume of "Three Hundred Classical Poems Re-visioned".

In 2012, Marion started to design physical puzzle games. She reinvented classical puzzle games into broader applications that appeal to the gamers more underlying structures. She created a cubic board game, "Fuzzy Square", that reveals Sudoku's logic by playing with colors and Go stones. As a result, Fuzzy Square can be played as Sudoku, Fuzzy Square, and/or mini Go. Fuzzy Square is also an app now. Next, with numbers from Magic Square, colors from Fuzzy Square, and Go stone patterns, Marion envisioned a brand new magic cube, "Luoshu Cube". Luoshu redefines the Rubik's Classic and is a refined version and experience for recovering 26 puzzle cubies in the cube.
