Paul Andrew Jarvis

Paul Andrew Jarvis was born in Birkenhead, England, where he grew up fighting his eight brothers and sisters for food. After escaping from his Catholic fundamentalist high school, he studied French and English at the University of Sheffield, then trained as a teacher of Modern Languages at Goldsmiths', University of London. Since 1991 he has been teaching English at the University of Bari in Italy, where he also works as a freelance translator.

He is the author of the comic novel "The Wooden-Legged Elephant" (first published in Italian as "Dio Non Sta Bene", Le Bolle Blu Edizioni, 2010) and of a bilingual story for children (Misery Puss - Micio Musone, Extremathule Edizioni, 2009). In addition, he writes an English-language blog, "Mediterranean Scouse", and an Italian-language blog, "Bari Blogs". He is currently working on his second novel.
