I'm a crime author from South Africa. It's believed that crime authors are a bit strange. This is very true. We have to be strange. In order to understand the criminal mind better and to properly explain it to the reader, we have to live it in different ways for every unique character.

I try to capture characters with depth and emotional weight, then shape a story around them. It's my aim to keep writing as interesting as possible, but I'm a perfectionist so I'm seldom satisfied with the result.
