Albertine Williams

Albertine Williams was born in Dumas, Arkansas and lived there until the age of 9 when she moved to Los Angeles with her mother, a sister and 3 of her brothers. She attended school in the Los Angeles and Compton Unified school districts. She moved to Kansas City at the age of 19 and currently lives there with her two daughters.

She wrote her very first poem when she was in the fourth grade. Her next poem was not written for another 3 years and it was a poem she bootlegged out of a book of poetry and changed some of the word to give to her boyfriend. In her adult years she found that her only relief from life's trials was to simply write what she was feeling. It turned out to be poetry and she is now the author or 2 books of poetry. The first, The Parchments is a book of inspirational poetry and meditations and the second, Intimate Things is a book of romantic poetry.
