Frances Hart

Frances Hart, author of "Lean Not on Your Understanding," is a former educator and school administrator. She is a graduate of Virginia State University. She earned her master's degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. Her life-long passion for writing stems from her desire to enrich the lives of family, friends and others. Her life's experiences have inspired her to share her story, through her work as an author.

Frances grew up in Winchester, Virginia and attended public schools there. Following her graduation from Virginia State, she married and had two children. Her daughter, Gail suddenly passed away after giving birth to her first child.

"Lean Not on Your Understanding," is the author's story of her personal journey, as she struggled to cope with Gail's death. She describes the event and the intense nature of the changes that followed. Beyond telling the story, Frances Hart offers specific, first hand advice drawn from her own experiences with managing the grief that accompanies such a deep and personal loss.
