After years of buying and selling books, Bill Rees began to write a few of his own. A book dealer's memoir (The Loneliness of the Long Distance Book Runner), a travel book (Rebel Land: A Portrait of the Cévennes) and a quirky biography of Dic Aberdaron, a polyglot tramp (1779 -1843.)
His most recent book - A Late Return: Table Tennis à la carte - is based on his experiences of playing table tennis in the French amateur leagues.
He lives between Bangor (North Wales) and Le Vigan (South of France).
'Thanks for letting me experience your typescript, a journey shot though with jolts of unearned nostalgia. I remember when all the writers were lining up to become on-the-road bookdealers. And then it turned around, so many hunched figures in quiet shops shaping the great work. Good luck with this.'
