Michael J. Herman

My name is Michael J. Herman. I'm a writer and entrepreneur. I've been writing professionally since the age of 12 when my first book Wonders, The Ramblings of A 12 Year Old was published in New York. It was a compilation of the short stories, poems, limericks, essays, and other funny and amusing works that my teachers had me write in order to keep me seated at my desk.

I attended Emerson College where I studied Film and television and I minored in Creative Writing. Upon completing Emerson's writing program I began writing for film and television. Over the course of 11-years I write for such shows as Married With Children, Doogie Howser MD, In Living Color, and Revenge of the Nerds to name a few.

But my real writing calling has been in books and syndication.

To date, I've authored 14 books, penned and published more than 7,600 articles on more than 60 topics in more than 200 publications around the world.

Of my 14 books, 4 of them have been translated into more than 14 languages and are sold in more than 30 countries around the world.

Many people ask me if I have a specialty in my writing?

Yes, my specialty is captivating, well written, relevant, life-enhancing content that entertains and educates readers as they get lost in worlds of words and new ideas. Is that too obtuse? I hope not. The truth is I'm lucky. I own my own publishing and media company. I write what inspires me. Sometimes it's a book on Brain Injury and sometimes it's a story about a bug drinking a cup of coffee.

From 1997 through 2015 I published and marketed the daily syndicated column THE MOTIVATIONAL MINUTE!® This publication was distributed on a premium basis to subscribing individuals, corporations, and government entities. It then grew into a print medium. Its design is to instantaneously empower the reader to create excellence in their day and give fodder to break through the limitations that we encounter. It was and is unlike anything in the marketplace and it positioned me as an expert on multiple topics.

I've won more than 60 awards for writing/publishing and speaking. I've been identified by the Los Angeles Times as "The Next Big Thing!" and by USA TODAY as "Mr. Motivation."

My bestselling audio programs The Michael J. Herman Motivational Adventure and Another Michael J. Herman Motivational Adventure have been heard by more than 60,000,000 listeners worldwide.

I hold 2 patents and I have two more patents in the works.

I'm always writing, creating, and finding new ways to manifest and express my ideas. Sometimes it's through books, magazines, movies, TV, blogs, humor, inventions, music, art, or song, but with me, the creative process never stills and everything I create has a sense of YOU CAN DO IT!
