Shelley Halima

Shelley Halima is the writer of the popular novels--Azucar Moreno, Los Morenos and Blinding Mirror. She also recently published a horror/suspense anthology entitled Night Gypsy: Journey into Darkness where she is joined by a host of talented writers. Her debut novel Azucar Moreno was met with accolades from former NBA star Chris Webber, readers and book reviewers and garnered awards from Shades of Romance for Best Multicultural Fiction and Best New Writer. Her third novel, Blinding Mirror, is currently being adapted for the small screen. Blinding Mirror has ranked as a number 1 download in Amazon’s Kindle Store in the Contemporary Fiction category and a top 20 best-seller in Women’s Fiction. The novel also made the top 100 bestseller’s list on Amazon’s Kindle Store in Germany and the United Kingdom.

In 2009 Shelley founded the production company Indie Gypsy; a company dedicated to producing quality projects in film, music and books. Shelley’s screenplay Azùcar (based on her first novel) is in development for the silver screen and will be produced in part by Indie Gypsy. Shelley is also a lyricist and one of her songs—Let it Flow—was produced and performed by Devin Johnson, a former American Idol contestant who is currently signed to Universal Motown.

Shelley has appeared or had mentions in publications such as Insight News, Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, Curve Magazine, Girlfriends Magazine, Arizona Republic, and the Seattle Times and was a guest writer for the online pub Intangible Magazine.
