Mary Ellen Gavin

Mary Ellen Gavin was born into her French Family whose great grandfather immigrated to Chicago looking for a better life. His lore tells how he lost his wife and children to the plague on the transatlantic sail in the late 1800s from Alsace Lorraine. When he arrived alone with only his craft as a stone cutter, the well respected name whose sons served in the French military was planted into American soil and flourishes to this day as many of his offspring migrated west.

The 5th of five children, Mary Ellen was forced to be the household spy in order to survive the intrigue of her siblings and all the people who loved to visit. Raised between Chicago and Los Angeles in her high school years, she experienced the diversity of mankind and began to express herself in little stories of irony at school. Finding a career in finance, her insight into human nature served her well. When she finally found time to devote to the Arts, her reading skills were welcomed to edit and ghost for other writers. She went on to teach Creative Writing, edit manuscripts and consult on screenplays. Her seasoned reading is also welcomed in literary contests.

Mary Ellen is known for her vast knowledge of characters and stories developed in books, stage or film. She is fun to work with due to her great sense of humor, easy manner and romantic heart.
