Henri Dou

Henri Dou is Engineer IPSOI (Petroleochemical Institute) and made his doctorate in the field of Chemistry. After a career at the CNRS as Research Director, it joined the University of Aix Marseilles III as Professor in Information Science and he developed various diplomas DU, DESS, DEA, Master, PhD in the field of Competitive Technical Intelligence, Regional Development and Bibliometrics. He participated to the developed of the Competitive Intelligence in Brazil. Among the different functions the following are among the most important : General Secretary of ChIN (Chemical Information Network UNESCO), Scientific Secretary near Bernard Gregory (General Manager of the CNRS) for the cooperation CNRS-MIT (Science and Decision), "Chargé de mission" near the Manager of the Chemical sector of the CNRS for the co-operation with Rhône-Poulenc, French representative at the International Oceanographic Commission and later in charge of the analysis of the US coal plan development. It is currently Director of ATELIS (Strategic Intelligence Workroom of ESCEM-France Business School), French expert of the Franco-Chinese Association of Competitive Intelligence, President of the French Society of Applied Bibliometrics and Member of various editorial boards of Scientific journals. He is specialized in Competitive Intelligence, APA (Automatic Patent Analysis), Regional Development and SRR (Social Research Responsibility). He currently takes part in various activities in Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Brazil, Africa and Mexico.

Après des études de Chimie (Ingénieur IPSOI et Doctorat d'Etat), Henri Dou a occupé les fonctions de Directeur de Recherche au CNRS avant de rejoindre l'Université comme Professeur en Science de l'Information et de la Communication.

Il est l’un des portes parole français dans le domaine de l'IE et de la veille technologique au plan international. Fort d’une expérience conséquente à l’étranger (Asie, Amérique, Amérique du Sud, Afrique) il occupe différents postes comme professeur, chargé de mission ou consultant.

Il travaille aujourd’hui dans l’enseignement et la recherche (intelligence économique et développement régional) ainsi qu’en tant que consultant et formateur dans la mise en place de systèmes éducatifs et de systèmes d’informations pour la Veille Technologique, pour des institutions et des entreprises aussi bien en France et qu'à l’étranger.
