Wendell Sweet

Wendell Sweet wrote his first fiction at age seventeen. He drove taxi and worked as a carpenter for most of his life. He began working on the internet in 1989 primarily in HTML, graphics and website optimizations.

He is a Musician who writes his own music as well as lyrics. He is an Artist accomplished in Graphite, Pen, and Digital media. He has written more than twenty books and several dozen short stories.

About Earth's Survivors...

I originally wrote the first book in this series in 1989. I lost it in all the things that came my way in life. I thought, that's that. I won't be able to do that again. In early 2010 I thought I should give it a second try. I think it turned out better, leaner, clearer, and it also turned into a series. It got me writing again.

I now have over twenty novel length manuscripts written in my marbled Composition notebooks, two notebooks per novel, all longhand written in one shot. I write long hand and then type them into a word processor. It may seem a strange approach to writing but it works for me.

I also have about a thousand sets of lyrics, because Music is my other passion. It's funny how life is, start re-writing a book and then find all of this other stuff inside you that also needs to be written out.

I mention this for a few reasons. First, some people care about the why of a thing. Circumstances. It means something to them. I'm like that. Second, whatever your dream is? Don't give it up. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do anything you want to. You can. That is not just words it is fact. Most often in life we stop ourselves from attaining the things that are right there in the world for us.

Current projects: The Earth's Survivors Series: Follow along with Mike Collins, Candace Loi, Patty Johnson, Bob Dove, Ronnie Vincent and the other Earths Survivors Characters as they struggle to survive and make themselves a home on a vastly changed Earth. I have twenty books written for the series. And another six written for the Outrunner series which is also an Earth's Survivors series coming in July 2013.
