Janet Pywell

Having visited Austria on her first foreign holiday at the tender age of six, Janet Pywell quickly developed a love of travel. She was insatiable, wanting to experience new cultures, exotic foods and meet interesting people. She went on to work in the travel and tourism industry for over thirty years. She uses her experiences of living and travelling abroad and knowledge of locations as an integral part of the scenes in her novels.

As part of her research and to add authenticity to her work, Janet has studied a variety of courses including, Shipwrecks and Submerged Worlds, Antiquities Trafficking, and Forensic Psychology. Combining her passion for writing and for history and cultural heritage, Janet loves to see people maintain deep-rooted traditions. Her international crime thrillers are expertly researched. Each book in the Culture Crime Series gives a harrowing glimpse into the hidden world of violence, greed and jealousy within the arts. And, as a result Mikky dos Santos and her friends came to life and the series began.

Janet has published eight books and uses her labradoodle, Teddy as an excuse to talk to herself on long dog walks as she plots and plans her characters and the next story lines. Janet lives beside the sea in Whitstable (Kent) UK.
