Jennifer Burt

My name is Jennifer Burt, I am mad about making any thing with wood and I love designing. 'Cute and Simple Woodworking' is my first book, it has been a real challenge and something I am very proud of.

I am qualified in interior design and traditional furniture making and it was whilst I was at college that I decided that one day I would like to write a woodworking book. Since qualifying 7 years ago I have worked hard researching, experimenting with designs and teaching myself simple decorative paint techniques, so that that one day I would feel confident enough to write a book.

My aim for this book was to come up with simple projects that would be perfect for anyone who has not done woodwork before. Many of the projects are things that I have been making and selling at various events over many years, the Country Living fair being my favorite.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed working on it.
