Chris Mares

Chris Mares is the director of the Univeristy of Maine Intensive English Institute. He teaches, trains teachers, and writes ESL material as well as long and short fiction. He has lived and worked in the UK, France, Israel, and Japan. He feels lucky to do what he does and wakes up every morning feeling enthusiastic and grateful. He never ceases to be amazed by his students and what they are able to achieve. He is currently working on a reader for English language learners, entitled "Richard - Human." He is very pleased with how his students are reacting to it and will happily share sample vignettes with interested colleagues.
