Phyllis Goodwin

Phyllis Goodwin was born in the south western city of Bath in England, UK. She lived the first twelve years of her life in Argentina. Studied in Bath, London and later acquired a B.Ed degree at Southampton University where she met and married Derek Goodwin. She has two children and four grandchildren.

Phyllis bought her first Field Spaniel in 1984 and became besotted by the breed. She has bred, shown and worked them. She wrote her first hardback book in 2003, 'The Field Spaniel - Anecdotes and Observations'. Her first novel was published in 2014 'Cry for me Argentina' inspired by a true story. It covers two World Wars, two different childhoods just after the death of Queen Victoria. There are adventures in Argentina, happy times followed by heartache and ultimate betrayal. Does Sybil forgive the love of her life?

The last book published in 2016 is a book of short stories, 'Dog Tales & other Gems - Ghosts, Journeys & Field Spaniels. She is now concentrating on her second novel 'Father's dead and Mum's missing'- a daughters search for the truth. She is also writing a Memoir - 'Growing up in Argentina - It's raining frogs!'
