John Thomas Dodds

John lives with his wife Candis and furry companions, in the beautiful village of Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Raised in both Canada and the United States John moved to Texas in 1968. There he spent 15 years living and working at various jobs throughout the State, culminating in graduating with a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Following careers as an entrepreneur, consultant and teacher, he retired after working as a Special Education Teacher in Western Massachusetts, to live permanently in Mexico. His writing career has spanned 50 years, publishing 9 books of poetry that explore relationships, spirituality, creativity, and his romance with life. A Long Way from Nowhere is his first novel.
