Laura Meyer

Laura Meyer was born in 1984, near Frankfurt am Main. She spends her daytime working in advertising, but at nightfall she changes into a storyteller. Since her 6th birthday books are her passion. Her great love for fantasy novels started when she turned 12.

The Destined Trilogy are Meyer's first novels, true to Beverly Clearys motto: „If you don’t see the book you want on the shelf, write it.”

The first part of the trilogy, Summer Rain, was released in 2015 in german language.

The second part of the trilogy, summer lightning, was released in 2019 in german language.

The third and last part of the series is currently in progress.

As a child Meyer usually read for hours just for the fun of diving deep into fictional worlds. During school days she wrote short stories, but didn't dare to write a whole novel. "You can't do that!" has been a common phrase people kept repeating like a mantra. In 2013 Meyer decided to change her answer from "You're probably right" to "Watch me."

She sat down and started writing. For a long time nobody knew about her project. She kept writing, word for word, until her ideas formed into a story and finally became a fantasy novel.
