Mr. Melvin Wakeley

About the Author

Melvin Wakeley is a retired pharmacist living in Valdosta, Georgia.

He was raised by both parents in a family of six children. He

graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and

spent over thirty years in hospital pharmacy. His passion for writing

is a long running one. For many years, he indulged in writing without

sharing most of it with others, except for a few lines here and there

shared with his family. Since retiring from a busy healthcare profession,

he is enjoying having the time to envision and bring to life his numerous

writings.

His books represent Melvin’s love of telling stories of love, happiness, triumph,

and defeat as seen through his eyes and as imagined through the eyes of others.

Melvin enjoys golfing and tennis, and tries his hand at vegetable gardening.

He’s an avid sports fan, and like many, he mourns the end of, and anxiously

anticipates the beginning of the various televised seasons. He and his wife

have two grown children, a fourteen year old Jack Russell Terrier named Sam,

and are enjoying the personal fruits of active retirement living.
