Dave Knifton currently works as a lead global data architect for a major blue-chip multinational. He has a passion for data architecture and has gained extensive experience of it from a wide range of business sectors across the globe in over 30 years.
His professional life has included many varied milestones including, modelling military aircraft to check their stability and keep them in the sky, setting up and managing Oracle Education Australia, creating two successful Oracle consultancies, spinning up several successful online ventures, setting up centres of Oracle excellence for clients and co-architecting a major Australian commercial bank’s award-winning online capability from scratch.
He is an enthusiastic educator and has delivered technical and business training for thousands of students through Oracle, its partners and tailored workshops for his own consultancies’ clients.
In the last few years he has also developed data architecture courses with US and UK based Universities.
To fulfil a lifelong ambition, in early 2003 he converted a derelict pub in London into a café and managed this before selling it at the end of the year.
