Laura Erber

Laura Erber was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1979. Writer and visual artist, essayist and professor at the UNIRIO University in Rio de Janeiro. She has published short stories and essays in various journals as well as four books of poetry, including the graphic poetry book Bénédicte vê o mar / Bénédicte sees the sea (download: www.editoradacasa.com.br) and Körper und Tage (Merz-Solitude, 2006). She is also the author of Ghérasim Luca (Eduerj, 2012) and was chosen by the Granta magazine as one of the best young Brazilian writers of the moment. Esquilos de Pavlov (Pavlov’s Squirrels) is her first novel and one of the finalists for the São Paulo Literature Prize 2014.
