Mariana Schmid

Mariana Schmid has performed extensive market research on capital markets, M&A deals of the past decade, and performance of serial acquirers. She has worked with various databases like Bloomberg, ThomsonONE and Capital IQ, performed data mining of large data sets, financial statements and credit risk analysis.

Mariana has started her financial career during her studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She has worked with Parly S.A. (family office and fund of funds) and Anabasis FxFund. Main responsibilities included compiling shareholder reports, working with financial analysts and traders, identifying NAVs discrepancies, providing mark-to-market reconciliation in conjunction with Citigroup brokerage and other trading platforms.

She has gained Mining and Metals experience working for Formation Metals and Ivanhoe group of companies in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has supported the VP Risk and CFO of Formation Metals in the development and implementation of internal audit risk based processes, contract management, document control procedures, and corporate training. She has reviewed engineering progress reports and liaised with the Engineering and Project Management Office in identifying new key metrics to ensure planned deliverables were met.
