Steve Richards

Steve Richards was a Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth in the Learning at Work department within the Faculty of Technology, working with first degree and masters degree students who study engineering. Previously, he taught electronics to marine engineering students at Warsash Maritime Academy on the south coast of the UK. He is an analogue and digital design engineer with interests in precision measurement. His career started in the Merchant Navy as a Radio Officer/Electronics Officer. Later he was involved with the design of electronic equipment for use by the British Army where he developed embedded systems using FPGAs.
