Persephone Vandegrift

Persephone is a multi award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker, playwright, and fiction author.

Besides her life-long penchant for the historical, she also uses elements of the mythological, supernatural, and fantasy genres to weave interesting and enchanting tales for stage, fiction and film outlets. With two award-winning short films, ALL THINGS HIDDEN, and THE LAST LIGHT, she is currently in development on several feature and TV projects. She is creator/writer of children's illustrated fairy series THE VERY FAIRY SERIES, early civilization novella EYE OF THE SUN, and fantasy novel THE TRUNCE OF MORS.

Previous publishing credits include award-winning short stories and poetry which have been published nationally and internationally. Her stage plays have been produced throughout the US. She is a creative writing tutor and personal story coach. She lives in the Pacific NW and willingly admits she is an ancient history geek, fairytale fan, and a bonafide cat-addict.
