I love writing and I'm delighted to have published my first book- it's the story of my unusual background and how, despite many obstacles, I finally found UNEXPECTED GRACE. In spite of wanting a quiet life, circumstances catapulted me into the maelstrom of a revolution, religious conversion, and unexpectedly falling in love with the man of my dreams. Survival ultimately depended on adopting a different nationality, switching my career to a new discipline, and reconciliation of a great cultural divide.
I was born in Switzerland of Iranian parents, and raised in a family that valued preservation of our Persian and Muslim heritage living in Europe as it entered the swinging sixties. It meant having to adjust to a very different lifestyle back in my parents' homeland: Iran.
In UNEXPECTED GRACE I describe the experience of being a foreign student in England in the 1970s, some terrifying ordeals in Iran during the Islamic Revolution, give insights into becoming a Christian during this difficult time, and relate how I subsequently relocated to the UK reinventing myself as a mature student nurse.
Enjoy reading about my struggle to establish a meaningful identity, and ultimately finding peace while straddling two cultures....See for yourself how it all worked out for me in my LIFE IN TWO WORLDS.
