Jorn Heldrup

Dr. Jorn Heldrup has a medical degree and has worked as Senior Programme Manager in the GAVI Alliance Secretariat from 2007-12. He worked as Senior Health Adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark (Danida) from 2002-07 and was Programme Development Officer in the Evidence and Information for Policy Cluster in the HQ of WHO (1999-2002). For more than 30 years, he has worked in the areas of public health sector policy and strategy development; planning, implementation and monitoring of sector-wide development programmes; reforms to the role Government in the health Sector and development of administrative and financial management systems for public health organisations. He has been involved in the development of monitoring, and audit systems; design and co-ordination of health systems research; planning, implementation and monitoring of donor support to sector-wide development programmes as well as aid/donor co-ordination and sector networking. Furthermore he has carried out research on organisational and management issues as well as communication, diagnostic and treatment procedures in the Primary Health Care system in Denmark
