Journel Joseph is a multi-disciplinary, multilingual, data and analytics professional, with over a decade of industry and consulting experience. His expertise is focused on data visualization, structured and unstructured data, advance analytics, quantitative and qualitative research methods, digital strategy, quality control, data privacy and policy.
He is the founder of Insert Analytics; a startup data and analytics advisory firm specializing in the design and implementation of customized solutions in advanced analytics, systems intelligence and data privacy. Journel currently functions as a data scientist based in Washington, D.C. He has co-authored numerous reports, peer-reviewed publications and white papers, delivered presentations, and engaged companies and executives in briefings on a variety of topics pertaining to data visualization, data collection and privacy, digital strategy, monitoring & evaluation, IoTs and data privacy, smart cities, future of work, big data and advanced analytics.
Journel is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University with a Master of International Affairs degree where he specialized in Economics, and International Trade. In addition, he has a Master of Public Policy degree from the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning (UEP), Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Technology and Community Media from the University of Massachusetts and he has completed a 2-year NSF-funded training in Program Evaluation and Applied Research. He holds an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation from Tufts University.
