Florence D. Blanding

Florence is the writer and illustrator of the new children’s book, "Good Puppy, Naughty Puppy, Sad Puppy, Happy Puppy". It is the second in her Rhyming Series. Florence has always been surrounded by artistic people. Her husband is a painter and a sculptor, her son a musician, and her daughter an author. Florence has been known for using the left side of her brain. She loves solving puzzles, is good at math, enjoys bookkeeping, and writes computer software. At age 72, she wonders if she even has a right side, so she decides to find out. She announces to her family that she is going to write and illustrate a children’s picture book. She chooses the children’s story genre because it is less formal, and she can draw ideas from her own life as a mother and grandmother. Five months later, Florence self-publishes her first book “Grandma Visits the Bumblebee Twins”. She is thrilled to have discovered the right side of her brain.
