Sandra Van Vechten-Berry

Born 'Sandra Jean Van Vechten' current married name "Berry" thus Sandra Van Vechten-Berry.

Baltimore, MD until Daddy joined the Army Air Corps during WWII and took mother and me to live in Rockville, PA (outside city limits of South Fork, and close to Johnstown, (site of the infamous 1889 Flood) with her mother and step-father. From age eight, after my parents divorced and both remarried a couple/four times each, I started going back and forth between cities and states, visiting and living with each set of parents/step-parents, until age fifteen.

Then started writing about my life, September 1, 1956. My first book, "Summer of '56" 'Memoir of a Teenager.' Completed in 2020 after working on it, off and on for 64 years! Plus five days later I finished "THE Weekend" 'An EXP Experience 1965 Memoir.' Current marriage has lasted 38 years. Had four children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson, but none from this last marriage. Highest schooling was December 17, 2000, when I earned a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Hawaii. Hobbies turned profession - photography, then various other occupations and finally returned to college to become a librarian. Love to read, write, communicate in general (learned to speak before I could walk, and haven't shut-up since.)
