Daneyliz Rodriguez

I began writing poetry when I was in high school. It was a way to escape reality and create my own world and characters. When I was in college, I began working closely with kids which inspired me to write poetry for younger audiences. My first children's book, Finn the Christmas Mouse, was released on December 1, 2020 and I could not be happier with how it turned out. It has been such a rewarding journey turning my dreams into a reality.

I currently live in Chicago and I am pursuing a masters in clinical mental health counseling with the goal of helping others through their hardships and advocating for positive mental health within marginalized groups. Also, my two favorite things ever are God and cheesecake. Can't go wrong with either one :)
