I was raised on a cattle ranch in Washington state. I spent a lot of my youth, up through college, showing horses and herding cattle -- yes, branding, dehorning, and all that comes with it. I have college degrees in psychology, biology, and music. I play several instruments and compose in my quieter moments. I lived in Hawaii for several years and have a heart for island life. I am an artist in watercolor and acrylics, and I write poetry. I hold a love for skiing and once resided in Sun Valley, Idaho. I have lived on boats in both Hawaii and Seattle. In fact, I began my court reporting career living on a Grand Banks boat in Bainbridge Island harbor. I've loved writing for 40 years. Therefore, working as a court reporter is not a huge leap. But, finally, after 31 years of reporting and perhaps 50,000 transcripts later (Whew!), I'm taking hold of my true passion -- writing fictional, suspenseful romance, bringing all the adventures I've seen, heard, participated in, and entwining them within the pages of novels that I'm now able to share in book form. I know my true calling rests in writing, and, for me, it creates a balance and a sense of kinship all within one beautiful process, the process of writing books.
