Andrew J. Key, Jr.

I went to work at 12, dropped out of school at 16 and enlisted in the military (U.S. Coast Guard) at 17. I was married at 19 and had two children by age 24. I attended and graduated from numerous military service training schools before graduating from RCA Institute and Lamar University with an Electrical Engineering Degree. I advanced in the enlisted ranks to Chief Petty Officer. I further advanced through the Warrant Officer Grades to CWO-3 before attending Officer Candidate School and attaining the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, ultimately achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. I worked as a Program Manager for three Aerospace Companies after retiring from the military, before finishing my working career as a Regional Lighting Enineer for Sylvania/Osram Lighting Company in 1995.
