Sybil Fulk

As a child, I lived on the East Coast of America. My family had several problems, including alcoholism and mental illness. My sister and I were blessed to have survived that time in our lives. As a result of mistreatment and ridicule, I developed a severe stuttering problem and became very isolated. It took many years, a lot of work, and some well-placed angels in my life, to overcome so much of my past. My steadfast belief in God, and the strength I developed over time as a result, has led me to this satisfying and peaceful place in my life.

I have two grown children that are smart, creative, and happy, and a wonderful man that is big part of my support system. I have everything to be thankful for and no longer need to live in fear or live with anger. I am also now an acrylic artist, which developed quickly after the loss of my husband and my dear mother.

This poetry book that also features my art, is my life's work since I have written since the age of twelve. At that age, my writing was literally my only voice. It has since become so much more. It is my hope and dream that my journey and my writing will be both an inspiration and a comfort to others.
