She writes YA thrillers about characters carrying impossible loyalties, to family, to first love, to the truths they've buried to survive, and the messy, dangerous work of coming home to themselves. She is the author of All the Beautiful Lies and Before Charlotte. When she's not writing about grief, guilt, and the people trying hardest to disappear, she enjoys cooking, late-night writing sessions fueled by coffee and anticipation, and thinking about why we can't look away from stories that thrill us.
