Dr Tom Henderson

Tom Henderson is an Australian Vet who's worked around the world, including Australia, England, Scotland and Pakistan. During that time he's been bitten and scratched, headbutted and kicked; on occasion by his patients as well.

He's owned a mixed Veterinary practice in rural Cumbria before making the move to Scotland and starting his second career in writing. He still enjoys working as a small animal Vet, but misses the late night calvings and a chat with his farmers.

His books are fictional but with a firm grip on reality, deriving from a lifetime of interactions with interesting patients, clients, workmates and friends. He's a voracious reader and enjoys many different genres from the classics to sci-fi to Scottish noir.

Book 2 Sheep to the Slaughter - due for release February 2026

Book 3 Death in a Dookit to follow, while Book 4 is in the final stages of fermenting (or festering) in his deranged mind.

Which would make for a pretty good multi-series production on STV/Netflix/BBC don't you think?
