Joshua W. Walker PhD

Joshua W. Walker, Ph.D., is President and CEO of Japan Society in New York and a leading voice on U.S.–Japan relations and global affairs. A “Dosanko American” who grew up in Hokkaido, Japan, he brings a unique bicultural perspective to bridging nations, industries, and people. Dr. Walker previously led the Japan practice at Eurasia Group and held senior roles at the U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has been widely published and featured in major media outlets.
