Kevin Nauta was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where storytelling became an early refuge and lifelong pursuit. Shaped by a restrictive religious upbringing, his writing reflects a quiet, honest exploration of identity, belief, and the long process of self-understanding. Nauta spent thirty years as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service before retiring in 2025. The Demon of Shadowfall is his first book. He lives in Michigan with his three cats, who tolerate their dad writing so long as they get a percentage of the royalties, if he ever becomes a success.
