Ron K. Miller

Ron K. Miller is an Arkansas-based writer, musician, and longtime student of music’s effect on the body, mind, and memory. His work brings together music theory, neuroscience, acoustics, personal observation, and trade nonfiction storytelling to explore why music can feel less like entertainment than contact.

His book, RESONANCE: Why Music Moves Us, grew out of a lifelong fascination with the way sound alters attention, emotion, movement, memory, and the sense of being alive. Outside of writing, Miller’s professional background spans corporate compliance strategy, business consulting, nonprofit leadership, and systems thinking, all of which shape his evidence-minded approach to big questions.
