At fifteen, Roderick committed to becoming a CPA and intentionally shaped every step toward that goal — enlisting in the United States Navy to earn the GI Bill, earning degrees from Florida State University and the University of Texas, and building his professional foundation at national firms before founding HCT Certified Public Accountants and Consultants

Roderick Harvey, CPA, CVA, is a veteran and managing Partner of HCT Certified Public Accountants and Consultants with more than 30 years of experience serving governmental, nonprofit, and public sector organizations. Harvey has extensive expertise in audit, compliance, financial reporting, and advisory services for municipalities, authorities, and districts across Florida and the Southeast. His leadership approach is grounded in discipline, accountability, and public trust. Passionate about environmental sustainability, financial literacy, and advancing the next generation of accounting professionals. He is passionate about mentoring emerging accountants and expanding access to the profession.

Harvey has conducted over 100 seminars teaching entrepreneurs how to “live a tax-deductible life,” and discussing common audit findings at the FGFOA annual conference. He works as the local treasurer for campaigns and nonprofit organizations. Harvey's community involvement includes sponsoring community events, mentoring young accountants, and introducing accounting concepts to young and old alike.

An avid fisherman who grew up on Florida’s freshwater canals and Lake Okeechobee, he values environmental stewardship alongside fiscal responsibility. Harvey is now avid deep-sea fisherman. His favorite fish to catch are grouper, snapper, and mahi-mahi. The question “When was the last time you went fishing?”
