Yulong Yang

Yang Yulong (Fred Yang) is an energy systems architect based in Singapore, with more than fifteen years across renewable generation, grid modernisation and the point where both meet artificial intelligence. As an executive at Univers and Huawei he has led deployments of grid dispatch systems, AI-driven energy management platforms and battery storage across Southeast Asian power systems.

His book "The Complete Picture of Energy: Every Energy Source Explained" (2026) is a fifteen-chapter introduction to every major energy source - fossil fuels, nuclear, solar, wind, hydro, ocean and biomass, then power grids, energy storage, hydrogen and the power electronics now rewriting the century-old grid. It carries 152 original diagrams and 136 cited sources, assumes no engineering background, and closes every chapter on Singapore. Previously published as "The Full Spectrum".
