About the Author
Melindi Weber is a South African author, equestrian, dressage judge, and lifelong horse and Scottish Terrier lover. She is also the owner of Countryside Equestrian Centre, where she has spent years surrounded by horses, riders, and the wonderfully unpredictable world that comes with them.
Her writing is inspired by real life, curiosity, and a slightly unhealthy ability to find stories in almost everything. Horses feature prominently in her work, naturally, but she also enjoys creating books that entertain, challenge the brain, and make everyday interests a little more enjoyable.
Having spent much of her life working with horses, Melindi has experienced the glamorous moments of equestrian sport — and considerably more of the muddy, chaotic, hilarious ones. Her perspective is practical, observant, and often sprinkled with humour.
When she isn't writing, you'll probably find her at the stables, judging dressage, working with riders, fussing over her horses and dogs, or thinking about what she should write next.
She lives in South Africa, where there is rarely a shortage of inspiration — particularly when horses are involved.
