Paul Van Metre

Paul Van Metre is the co-founder of ProShop ERP and a longtime manufacturing entrepreneur. He began his career as a machinist and co-founded Pro CNC, a precision manufacturing company, where he and his partners experienced firsthand the challenges of building and scaling a machine shop.

Those challenges eventually led them to develop their own digital management system, which became ProShop ERP: a manufacturing ERP, QMS, and MES platform built specifically for regulated machine shops. Today, Paul works closely with manufacturing leaders across the industry, helping shops improve their systems, profitability, culture, and operational performance. He is also the host of the Machine Shop Mastery, Manufacturing Transformed and MakingChips podcasts, where he speaks with shop owners and industry leaders about the lessons behind building exceptional manufacturing businesses.

His work centers on a simple idea: a great machine shop shouldn't require constant heroics to succeed. It should be built on systems, people, and processes strong enough to succeed consistently.
