Simone Michaels writes emotionally rich stories about love, family, identity, and the complicated roads that bring us home to ourselves.

Drawn to characters with a little life behind them, she writes romance and Southern fiction filled with layered relationships, hard-earned second chances, family ties, and the occasional beautifully questionable decision. Her stories center characters who have loved, lost, made mistakes, and discovered that becoming who you are rarely happens in a straight line.

When she isn’t writing, Simone can usually be found with a book nearby, tending something in the garden, listening to music, or dreaming up her next story.

She is the author of Wayward Blues and the forthcoming Ellington Sisters series.
