Akash Das

Akash is a writer and postgraduate in biotechnology whose interests extend well beyond his academic background. He has worked in social media management, website development, graphic design, and digital media, while maintaining a lasting fascination with books, music, film, and creative work.

His writing explores the everyday problems of modern life, including our relationship with technology, attention, work, habits, and productivity. He writes practical nonfiction with a preference for thoughtful ideas over simplistic formulas, drawing on his interests in science, psychology, technology, and human behaviour.

Outside writing, Akash reads more books than he probably has time for, plays guitar, creates graphic designs and visual artwork, and has a habit of pausing films to think about a line that caught his attention. He can spend an unreasonable amount of time getting a small design detail exactly right and is usually curious about how things work, even when they probably don't need investigating. He is based in India.
