Min K. Han

Han, Min Kyung holds a doctorate in Education from the University of Oklahoma in the United States. In Korea, she earned a master's degree in Child and Family Studies from Yonsei University, along with both a master's and a doctorate in Early Childhood Special Education (specializing in intellectual disability education) from Daegu University — a rare résumé that has walked the front line of theory and the front line of practice at once.

She spent twelve years as a kindergarten teacher and director, then three more leading the department of a child and adolescent psychiatric clinic, work recognized with a citation from Korea's Minister of Health and Welfare. Today, as an adjunct professor of Early Childhood Special Education at Daegu University and a practicing special education teacher, she still crosses the same threshold every morning.

In a corner of education the spotlight rarely reaches, she has authored more than twenty books, all converging on one conviction: "We do not try to change the child. We redesign the system the child must face." In this book, she offers the hard-won certainty of someone who has kept building — unseen — for longer than anyone was watching.
