Alaattin Tuncer

Alaattin Tuncer has started over more times than most people change jobs. Born in Turkey, he trained as a commercial diver and worked eighty meters below the surface before moving into business, where he ran five companies in Qatar and moved thousands of workers across borders. He has captained a ship, lost a fortune, lived in a truck for a year, rebuilt his body from 130 kilograms and survived a COVID intensive-care unit where he was told to make peace with his family. It took him eight months to come off oxygen.

Today, with his wife and three sons, he is building Rundzee, a marketplace that connects people who need a job done with trusted providers, merchants, drivers and riders. Jump Again, his first book, is the unvarnished account of that life, illustrated with more than 160 photographs from his own archive.

He writes for anyone standing at the end of a chapter and wondering whether there is another one.
