K. Renard is a debut author writing cosy fantasy about quiet magic, old forests, found family and the complicated business of being human.

Her debut series, The Millbrook Apothecary, is for readers who like their fantasy a little slower, their landscapes a little wilder, and their characters old enough to have accumulated a few stories of their own.

She lives in Australia, which meant writing most of Millbrook’s winter in the middle of summer.

The Millbrook Apothecary follows one turning year through ten novellas, each built around a single plant. The entire story was written before the first novella was published.
