Patricka Gayle

Patricka Gayle grew up on the Caribbean island of Jamaica, in the parish of St. Elizabeth, the ninth of twelve children born to a teacher and a farmer. As a child, she was curious about the faith of her Christian parents, whom she often heard praying openly. She prayed for salvation then, but it was in her early twenties that she grew closer to the Lord, reading the scriptures and taking notes as she meditated on God's Word.

In 1980, she and her husband were sponsored by her sister Dulcie to migrate to New York, where they lived for 30 years. She is the mother of three adult children, the grandmother of five, and a great-grandmother. Over the years, she has taught her children to understand the power of a Creator who wants to fellowship with each of us personally.

Her professional background is wide-ranging. She holds Series 6 and Series 63 licenses and has worked as a banker and assistant manager with Chase Bank USA and Citibank USA. She is also a realtor, a life and health insurance agent, a Mary Kay beauty consultant, a certified computer and network technician, and a healthcare professional. She studied at Keiser University and St. John's University in Queens, New York.

Above all, she is a born-again child of God. Through her writing, she invites readers to let her personal experience guide them into a relationship with God that is worth more than gold.
