Kevin M Clement

Kevin Clement is a father first — the proud dad of Carli, the inspiration behind the Carli’s Angels picture book series, and of her brother Jack, whose own story is told in Being Jack.

Carli was diagnosed with hydrocephalus as an infant and has faced more than 100 brain surgeries with a strength and joy that taught her family what really matters. She founded Carli’s Angels, a community offering a voice for hydrocephalus and a community of hope. Kevin writes the series to share her story: that children living with a chronic illness can live normal, full lives — family, friends, sports, and laughter included.

Beyond the books, Kevin is a former CPA (Deloitte) and enterprise technology executive who led large programs in pharmaceuticals, education, and real estate, including as a VP of IT at Sanofi. He spent years coaching Jack’s basketball teams, with Carli as his assistant coach, and lives in New York.

As Kevin puts it: He has learned more from Carli than he could ever teach her.
